manifold insulator

Post by sadams » Sun Jun 01, 2014 4:27 pm

New member here, with a question. I have what appears to be a 65 model ca-77 and bought the manuals. I installed a carb kit and can't determine which way the intake insulator goes back on. One side appears to have a vent hole. Do both sides have an o ring ?

Thanks

The insulator has the o-ring relief cut side against the head. The flat side faces the carb with the little hole on the bottom. The carb has an o-ring in its flange that seals against this flat side of the spacer. I like to place my spacers on a piece of glass with fine sandpaper laying on it and lightly sand the spacer against it to make sure it is flat and not warped.
