this is the tire I just bought for the back , a local bike shop put 2 on for me 2 seasons ago , got 5000 miles and back wore out so bought another to finish off front one . bike bandit .com

Russ, what size is that tire that you purchased for your Dream? The standard size for SuperHawks is 2.75 x18 for the front, and 3.00 x18 for the rear. The smallest size I can see is 100x90x18. May possibly work on the rear, but might be too big for the front. I think a 90x90x18 would be a better fit, if they offered it in that size.

According to my info the Dream takes 3.25 x 16 inch front and rear. That's what I'm running. I have the WWW Firestones for our white Dream 305. $353/pair with new inner tubes and tax from a local chain, Performance Plus Tire. Not a performance tire, but it sure looks good on a white Dream, and they ride fine. This bike isn't a knee-dragger by any means.

110/90/16 , sounds too small for yours . i'll check later and see if they have some for your bike.

I got the Old Girl through the CHP VIN verification inspection today. The verification officer went by the NY state registration for the model year, so it won't be registered as a 1965, but a 1966 (even though it was apparently built in 1965). What was so cool was when he told me "I have people bring old bikes in here to be verified all the time, and usually they're just pieces of junk. It's rare that we get a nice one, and yours is really nice!" That felt really good!

DMV at the end of the month. Hopefully, the registration journey will be over!

The trip over to the verification was 20 miles. Each way. I rode the Old Girl to work last night and she sat outdoors over night for the first time in, heavens, more than 30 years? Anyway, she started her "running out of gas" hesitation after I'd been riding along for about 10 miles at 60 MPH. So, I put gas in her this morning, even though she'd only burned a little over a gallon. Hmmmm, I thought. Perhaps I cut the main supply stand pipe for the petcock too long? Then, on the way home from the CHP office, she started hesitating again, with a FULL tank. She stopped it as soon as I put her on reserve. So, I'm thinking I have something amiss with the petcock. The stand pipe might be too small a diameter, or there's dirt in one of the passages in the petcock itself. I did pull the bowl off of it last week, and there were some paint chips and other stuff in it, not a lot, but enough. So, maybe something is lodged where it shouldn't be.

On a high note, I took her up to redline in first and second gear. When she hits 7000 RPM, she really wakes up! That's when the cam starts to work, I guess. She's no powerhouse, but she accelerates smartly. And willingly!

I am so pleased with her.
