I am not an expert on these headlight units, but I don't see the spring clip that is on yours when I look at my parts manual.
I restored mine and needed a new head lamp assembly as well, the origionals were sealed bulbs, go to http://www.charlies-place.com/index.html. they deal in vintage Honda parts. they cost 115.00 with shipping.

2002 BMW R1150GS The more I learn about these bikes and research about this headlamp, the more convinced I am that this was OEM for Canadian designated Dreams. Every Canadian bike I am aware of has this headlamp. Remember this when proclaiming that sealed beams were OEM. They certainly were...for the U.S. market. ;-)
