Have you fellas seen this?

http://www.yamahamotorsports.com/sport/ ... specs.aspx

I used to own an SR500. While it didn't worm it's way into my heart quite like Old Girl has (and had), it was a bike I very much enjoyed. It was an absolutely honest, all round, great street bike. This one looks to be possibly better!

I've got to ride one!

Hey, there is a seal on the engine along with the one on the cable.
IF I remember you take the cable drive loose from the engine to get to it.

Been kinda drooling over this one myself!

Not so much the looks, but the specs and price seem hard to beat....,

Hi, Brady - yes, there is one in there. It's okay. I THINK I've solved the problem. If not, I've got another cable to try! Thanks!!

Oooo! That's an interesting bike! It is a good price, too. I wonder if the saddle height wouldn't be too much for me? That is the main reason I sold my SV650, the thing was just too tall for me. Now, my Superhawk - it's more like it! The SR400 is low, too, and I remember my SR500 being a very good fit.

Maybe an inch or so taller, but very narrow at the tank which makes some difference. Just need to sit on one to see how it fits.
I keep an eye out locally for a good deal on an early model SV, but they are scarce around here. They are nice bikes.
