Pirsigs Bike

Post by Waveblaster » Sun Apr 13, 2014 6:40 am

Out of curiosity does anyone actually know what happened to Pirsigs Super Hawk? Does it still exist today?
In his book he does seem to ride it fairly hard

After his funeral we packed all his things, including a secondhand motorcycle he had just bought, into an old pickup truck and headed back across some of the western mountain and desert roads described in this book. At this time of year the mountain forests and
prairies were snow-covered and alone and beautiful. By the time we reached his grandfather's house in Minnesota we were feeling
more peaceful. There in his grandfather's attic, his things are still stored.
No word about Pirsig's bike, not mentioned in his second book "Lila"either.

But maybe he stored it also on that attic in Minnesota, maybe not.

Maybe he sold his bike, in the US or in Sweden, maybe someone is riding his bike already without knowing it........
