thickness 5-clutch disk system in 1967 CB77

Post by arseatea » Mon Mar 31, 2014 3:51 pm

Just about ready to order a new 6-pack clutch friction disk set (3mm thick), when I saw the tutorial on the clutches Honda used. I did not realize that they had both a 5-disk and 6-disk system. I pulled my clutch and discover that I do have the 5-disk system. My book (Clymer Publications) only covers the 6-disk. What is acceptable thickness for each friction disk in the 5-disk system? What is the acceptable thickness of the each of the steel plates? Fortunately for me, I decided to pull the clutch and count the disks before ordering..Thanks in advance...Ron
