Charlies new ignitions
Charlies new ignitionsCharlies Place just sent me an update on their new ignitions, nothing on their website yet, but here's the email content for those that are looking for an ignition for their old Hondas:
Dear Valued Customers! We are very happy to finally announce -- after much testing: the new Charlie's Place electronic ignition units are IN PRODUCTION! Please note that due to an increased cost of production, the price of ignitions has increased slightly and is now $230. The schedule puts the first run of ignitions available just in time for you to renew your St. Valentine's day vows to your beloved bike: February 14th! With our new, better manufacturer here in the USA, the ignitions are greatly improved, but also made in smaller quantities. The first run will be only 100 units-- and we expect these to sell out quickly. For this reason, we are taking deposits for any customer who wishes to guarantee they will be able to purchase one of these first units. This will be first come first served! To be included in this select group, contact us with a PayPal payment of $100 to charliesplaceorders@gmail.com. We also offer a "Performance Package" set up for each bike at a discount. It includes coils, regulator/rectifier and electronic ignition. If you are interested in knowing more about this, just get in touch! We will be producing more ignitions next month, with the next limited run of 100 to be available in mid-March. Thank you for your continued support! Feel free to get in touch with any questions. Sincerely, Charlie's Place

http://www.olypen.com/retro/HI-259-000.htm http://www.olypen.com/retro/31700-259-030.htm Is the rectifier suitable for the electronic ignition? I am trying to find a diagram for the wiring as there are several wires from the electronic pick up? Also I am trying to position the slide on cam with the pick up and instructions on how to position would be ideal. regards Greg Probe or CharliesI'm about to pull the trigger on an electronic ignition. Has anyone received Charlie’s version that could do a comparison? Why doesn’t it need a control unit?
