The reveal

Post by Need4Speed » Wed Nov 06, 2013 3:04 pm

I presented the restored 305 Dream to my neighbor, who has owned this bike since new in 1964. Needless to say, he was elated. Now, it's on to the next project.....

Wow!

Beautiful work. I'm sure he had to sit down for a while after seeing it..... :-)

The owner of the bike

Post by Need4Speed » Wed Nov 06, 2013 3:31 pm

Here's a picture of my neighbor, the owner of the bike, when he was 16 years old in 1964. The bike was brand new when the picture was taken. With all the aluminum and magnesium parts polished to a mirror finish, it probably looks better now than it did then (No more battleship gray anodizing left on this bike).

Dear Need for Speed, It is really nice to see such good work coming through. The neighbor would definitely be over the moon with the result. All the best Jerry

Tried to PM you sir but currently the PM service throws up error codes. I don't know if you have received the message. I live in Cape Coral and I wondered if we might meet at some time. You have the experience and skills I do not possess. Jerry Starks Downtoscratch
