CL 77 Loose key

Post by Spitfire151 » Tue Jul 23, 2013 11:02 pm

Anyone have any experience with a loose (presumably worn) key? It wobbles whilst in the ignition switch and really makes me fearful I'll lose it going down the road (when I get the thing roadworthy that is). Obviously there is wear and tear on a bike from 1965 and this is to be expected however I wanted to check with the people in the know prior to spending $$ on a replacement switch and key set.

Not a pretty solution, but you could put a loop of thin cord on the key and tie it up to the frame when you're riding...
