Hey Scud,
Welcome. You'll find this forum friendly and helpful. Fountain Valley huh? Where about's roughly? That's where I grew up in the early 70's.

hey mike, thanks for the welcome! I'm at about Magnolia/Warner...not sure if it was around then, but there used to be a Bullwinkle's there at the corner when I was a kid...right next to the 405.

Yep...
At some point what used to be a miniature golf became Bullwinkles. I was over the hill at Bushard (north of)/ Warner. When we moved in in early 1961, FV had recently incorporated into a city, and the 405 hadn't been completed yet through the city and adjoining communities. Strawberries, corn and other crops dotted the landscape. Mile Square Park was then a U.S. Marine military helicopter touch and go practice area. Seems every Saturday we'd head over there for afternoons full of fly by's and what we considered "wow" times just watching and listening to the thunderous sounds of those machines . I remember the local Honda Dealer over at Beach and Warner was just a shack of a place as to what it is today. I'm experiencing yet another another wow time...I can still remember those days 50+ years later!.
