Buffing aluminum?
Paul, Ya I get the dust bunnies. I just clean up with my shop vac (occasionally) But then I don't paint in my shop either. Just a thought about clear coating polished aluminum, I have not had good results doing that,I thought because the wax leaves a residue (don't know this for certain). Also have been told the smooth surface doesnt leave anything the clear can adhere to. It sorta sounds right. Let us know how yours comes out. Steve(Kustommusic) Greer
Steve when I was doing the Cub I experimented a bit with clear coating the polished parts and found the following. After polishing the parts I washed them with mineral sprits and got any contaminates off of them. I sprayed one side cover with automotive clear coat but didn't like the outcome because the coating went on to thick so I removed that clear and went with a shaker can of clear and it worked perfectly. I've used the bike allot and it holds up perfectly and maintains a perfect shine so It might be something you might want to try. Folks who look at the engine thinks It was all chromed so that's good enough for me! Ride safe. Paul
