Unfortunately I would not. If these last as long as my Goodyears, I won't need another set for 30 years, I'll be 86 at which time I may not be too concerned about that.

I'll measure thsi weekend.

I will be sending this info on to my buddy in a couple weeks, he is interested in going with white walls and will be the one making the final call on what tires to go with.

So if they can come up with a white wall please let us know.

I have a set of these on my Slovenian Tomos moped. They seem a pretty good quality tire. I'd be interested in a whitewall set. The folks at Treatland are pretty great too.

Sava Quality

ktran, Thanks for the feedback on the Sava's. It is really appreciated.

I agree, Benji at Treatland is to be commended just for engaging in a discussion about getting a whitewall. If this idea were to work out, all of the Dream community would owe him a huge debt of gratitude.

I hope other Sava users will post as well.

Ok:

Whitewall widths.

Coker 1 3/4" starting right at the rim
GoodYear 1 1/8" starting right at the rim
Nitto Originals 9/16" starting 3/4" from the rim

I guess any of them would look good. Obviosly for originality the Nitto configuration would be best but I like the looks of the GoodYear or Coker myself.

Original Dream White Walls

Post by conbs » Sun May 05, 2013 6:05 pm

I understand that the original CA72/77 Dream tires were either Ohtsu or Nitto.

I have a couple of original Ohtsu front tires and they are the wide white walls like the Firestone's. The Nitto's on my '65 are the narrow white walls. Am I correct that the Ohtsu were always wide whitewalls and the Nitto's were always the narrow white walls?
