1966 CB77 Spoke nipple wrench size?

Post by moparguy » Sun Mar 03, 2013 11:02 pm

Does anyone know the appropriate size spoke nipple wrench for a '66 CB77? Looking to break down the stock wheels without cutting the spokes or completely destroying the nipples. I've looked *everywhere* for a spec on the nipple size - can't find anything. Any help is appreciated!

You can buy multiple size spoke wrenches.

I also use a good quality, small adjustable wrench.

If the nipples look rusty / seized, I spray with WD 40 and use a little heat. Otherwise it is possible to twist off the end of the spokes.
