Crankcase Cover Screws
Crankcase Cover ScrewsAre the 6mm 305 crankcase cover screws JIS or standard metric? I see stainless allen head sets on eBay that are supposedly for a 305 but they're listed as being standard metric, not JIS. So does that mean they are a direct replacement or would one have to re-tap the case to use standard metric?
Also see the lengths listed here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0124609452 They list lengths of 16, 25, 35, 45, 55, 70 and 80 mm. My CA77 parts book lists lengths of 16, 20, 30, 35, 40, 45, 60, 75 mm. Is this length difference critical, or can I use a 25mm where the book calls for a 30mm?
I was searching crankcase screw part numbers on google just for the heck of it when I came across this:
http://www.speedsupplies.com/partslisti ... ategory=HN I've ran all the crankcase screw part numbers in the "Enter Your Part Number:" box and it seems that they have them all in stock. But a bit pricey with the $14:00 S&H fee.
Thanks for that list LM!
By "fuel valve' are you referring to the petcock? I ask because if I don't get my petcock screws broke loose I am going to need some! Also it appears that the screws that attach the condenser to the head are also JIS as they share the same part number (93500-05012) with the screws that attach the points to the plate.
The 2 SMALL ones which hold the On/Off lever.
Could be on the condenser. ..........lm
