Cadman,
I called Rebel Sprockets and they said to call Suncoast Dist. and talk to Jay to see if he could cut you a front sprocket the size you need. They also mentioned if he wouldn't do it, to buy a blank sprocket from McMaster-Carr and have a machinist mill the blank for you. Rebel said to buy a #50 industrial sprocket and that should work. Sounds like a lot of work! I can't hardly believe that someone out there doesn't have the front sprocket. If and when you locate someone, please post it here for the benefit of all. Here is the link to McMaster-Carr and the phone# to Suncoast. Sorry I couldn't locate a link to Suncoast. Suncoast Dist - 800-237-8333 http://www.mcmaster.com/#roller-chain-sprockets/=le7jly Front sprockets were splined requiring a special broach which is expensive. I suspect it would be expensive to have a machine shop make the splines. I can undoubtedly find a 16 tooth sprocket that would would but the splines would be the problem.
Several sprocket makers I have talked to might be inclined to make both front (16 tooth) and rear (29 tooth) if enough folks wanted them. So my question is how many folks are interested. I am guessing that the price for both would be under $100 in quanity. The rear sprocket would be easy only requiring the center hole and the 4 bolt holes to be machined into any 29 tooth sprocket.
