Honda Dream CA77 305 Speedometer Rebuild Walk-Through
Speedometer needle broke :(Enjoying a beautiful Sunday afternoon ride when the speedo needle started bouncing then loud whining and bam....needle broke off. Read G mans tutorial...great. When I took out the headlamp to inspect the speedo cable was almost totally off the speedo...vibration unscrewed it and barely touching. Going to take out and repair...any idea how I can get/make a new needle?
Thanks, Steve
Re: speedo stickerThanks Atlas! Glad it's working out for you. For others, I e-mailed stickers@reproductiondecals.com directly. I didn't go to their website. '64 CA77 305 Dream
broken speedoI have a speedometer thats an early yazaki meter that i have installed a new nippon face decal and it looks pretty nice. One number is off the odomeder though and my crimping of the chrome ring could have been a little better but all in all i believe it to be a good usable ca77 speedometer. If your interested make me an offer.

speedometer rebuildPaperslamer your posting on the speedometer rebuild is FANTASTIC! It gave me the ability (courage) to take mine apart and get it working again! THANK YOU for taking the time and effort to write such complete instructions on how to do a rebuild.
awesome detailed piece: great job.
I am going through this myself write now...except the inside of my speedo is fully rusted shot. Got it all opened: the spring that is attached to the needle shaft is gone to rust powder! Do you guys know where it could get another one? Not even sure how it attaches to the shaft as that area is a clump of rust. cheers Ivan
