I'ts Alive!

Post by abert51 » Wed Jan 02, 2013 10:15 am

Before the damn snow started flying here in NE, I had the brief window of opportunity to kick over my 65 CL Cafe. Finnally after numerous carb rebuilds/cleanings/synching etc. she got out on the road and performed admirably. OK, like so many others I wanted to reach for that additional gear but all went well anyway. So nice to get to the finish line with it. Anyone have a thought on how to modify that punney little shift lever to make it more comfortable? HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Abert51-

When you find that "additional gear" please let me know! I have a '69 CD175. It's a REAL screamer (sounds like a TF funny car), but it's about 2 gears shy! I keep looking for 5th gear and I must look and sound like an idiot when I go for the shift and find out there ain't one :)
