replacement key, NA series

Post by rider5 » Fri Dec 07, 2012 3:50 pm

I'm beginning restoration on a '65 CA77 and am trying to locate a replacement key (previous owner is still looking for it but chances are slim that it will be found).

The ignition & fork lock are both coded as NA064, which is apparently pretty rare. I've already checked with hondakeys and motorcyclekeys, am waiting to hear back from pghcyclecenter now.

Does anyone know of another source? Can I get a blank somewhere & have one made?
I'd appreciate any help that's out there (my first restoration project).
Absolutely love this forum - have gotten tons of info here in just a few days.

Would rather keep the original ignition switch if possible, but I will get this little girl rolling one way or another.

Honda Keys

Post by conbs » Sat Dec 08, 2012 11:17 am

I am pretty sure there is a guy that advertises he can cut vintage Honda keys just by having the code. I never had to use him, but I think you might find him with a search on this site or maybe with a little more looking on the internet.

Hey Flute
Great info. That locksmith is just down the street from where I live. THey have an excellent reputation in the comunity. If anyone on this forum needs I can personally talk to him. I will give him a try on my fork lock.

Thanks

No the locksmith there can't help me either, guess it's real tough to find blanks for the NA series. Will have to keep pestering the previous owner to keep searching his old garage, it's in there somewhere ... burried under many years of accumulated stuff.

If anyone has any other leads or ideas please share.

I have a few NA keys. In order to get the NA key that I needed, I had to buy large lots and therefore have several extras. I'll look at what I've got and post the numbers here.
