Disassemble of CL77 Rear Shocks

Post by P.Martinez » Sat Nov 24, 2012 4:27 pm

Searched the forum & found out how to remove the upper shock housing & spring. That part went well however, when I try to pull the lower housing off I find that the plastic sleeve around the shock body is preventing removal of the lower housing. Question is, how do I remove the plastic sleeve? I was about to try and cut into the sleeve, but thought I would see if someone on the forum might have a "trick" on how to remove it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Just cut it off and replace with adhesive lined heat shrink tubing.
