JCP...... Blast from the past

Post by downtoscratch » Mon Nov 12, 2012 6:00 am

Anyone else spot the 60's Honda that appears in the JCP (JC Penney) tv spot running now? Either a Super Hawk or a CB160.

Found this post on another forum while doing a Google search....... Video of the ad not found.

JCPenny commercial and CB160?
Lately there has been a JC Penny commercial running in my market. In the opening scene there looks to be a couple riding a CB160. I thought it was neat they used a vintage bike. Through some artist friends and what not I have offered up some of my bikes for photo shoots and props. I don't expect much response but any exposure for vintage Hondas is great in my opinion.
Hope you get to see the commercial (was not my bike btw).

Yup, I've seen the ad, too. I thought it was a Superhawk based on the size of the people relatative to the size of the bike. Will have to take a closer look next time I see it.

There have been more vintage bikes on ads that you would expect. There was the ad where the guy's single, I think it was a matchless, dies and his wife picks him up with the trailer, and the one with the guy on the cafe SOHC 750 Honda and all 3 have these have been aired within the last year or two.

regards,
Rob

Yes, It's a CB77 or 72. Kinda shocking at first to see a real bike in a modern add :)

Hi,

Thanks for the link, nice shot btw, vintage style in the foreground, modern style at the background, black and white filmed, done very nice.
