Starter Clutch question.......

I have been watching this with a great deal of interest as I am getting ready to rebuild mine keep up with the good info!

You might find some useful info at the threads below as well if you intend to replace the crankshaft seal while you are in there. At a minimum, you need to replace the starter sprocket seal while you are doing the starter clutch rebuild. They are the biggest culprits of leakage inside the right cover and are a piece of cake to replace.

Thanks Guys......you all are the best! Don't know what I would do with out this Forum. Looking to pic up the parts next week, will post how things go later!

If you need new springs, 28125-253-020, I have them.

Make sure the 3 screws that mount the starter clutch assy to the rotor aren't loose.

I tried to loosen those screws once and it seemed like they were WELDED in there!

Tom has some new springs on there way to me.....will see if this quits things down.
