lost title helplost title helpI bought a CL66 with out a title in PA. What is the best way to get a title for my My bike. from what i read PA laws seem to make it very hard to get a new title. the bike is a CL frame and can not find any numbers on the frame, and the engine has a CB77e engine code. So the bike is a mix so i am not sure if this will make it hard to title. Any tips or help would be great
Thanks dux66-I live in Pa. and I researched with DOT about titles for old bikes and no real owner per say. Also, DOT purges their system of vehicles that have not been registered for 10 years or more, but they said they do have old titles on microphiche.Go in person to DOT to get any results.Unless you can find the last owner that had it titled and have them apply for a lost title your best bet is to go thru one of the title services and get a new title.Thses bikes get drug out of so many barns, yards and junk yards it is hard to find one with a title.
lost titleThanks for the help. After looking again for the frame # on my bike i can still not find any number on the frame anywere. I thought that is should be on the steering tube but there is no number there or can not see where it has been sanded off. I do not know what year the bike is. I was tolded the bike was a 1966. The date on the wire harness says 1962, not realy sure if that means anything. I do know its has a cb77E engine. I will get picutres up soon and maybe some one can help out. thanks for the title info
