Got screwed nicely on a CA77 Dream out of the Bronx
I always ask for detailed pics. its just one of those live and learn lessons i guess. Sorry you got taken on that deal. post up some pics of the bike for us to see it.
i just picked up a nice red dream with buco bags last week, ill be selling very soon. once the carbs are cleaned and i have it running perfect. Before I post picks of my "mint" 305, I thought I should share this. This is the document the seller signed when the bike was picked up. All the existing damage is noted - accurately I might add.
Here is the email from the seller when I contacted him: From: Marshall Singer Subject: Re: 1965 Honda Dream Date: October 24, 2012 8:18:32 AM PDT To: Dunnett U better call the shipper . Seat , handle bars , fender, no way, federal has damaged 2 of my bikes already. They get loaded and unloaded numerous times before reaching you. That's absolute bull. Sent from my iPhone Pantload, pure and simple.
OK, here you have it - a link to detailed images of this "perfect" Honda Dream with "perfect paint and chrome - MINT!". The first thing I noticed was that the bike has been repainted - and it goes downhill from there...
Looking forward to your thoughts and comments. http://www.dunnett.com/honda/honda.html D; Well, you are right. It ain't perfect, not even close. perfect is real tough to get, and a "perfect" dream would bring more $$ than what you paid. Hopefully, you can just ride it and enjoy it for what it is. give me a call, I'm just down the road in Bellingham with a bunch of dreams(and some other old Hondas) you can look at
