CA77 Ignition

Post by mason123h » Fri Oct 05, 2012 7:06 am

I am currently in the process of trying to get a model CA77 running. I am missing the starter button, so all I have is a hot red and yellow wire that goes to the button, but I don't know how to get it to turn over. I put the key in the ignition position, but all I have is a hot wire and no button. Any suggestions on what I need to connect that wire with to start it?

Thanks for the help!

Ignition

I tried grounding the wire and only a weak spark was produced and nothing more. Maybe the battery is too weak.

CA77 Ignition

Post by mason123h » Sun Jun 09, 2013 4:51 pm

Still having trouble with ignition. I tried a new battery and tried grounding the yellow/red wire [that is the right wire for starting a CA77 right?] but I am only rewarded with a light spark when I brush the wire to ground. If I just hold the wire to ground nothing happens.

Thanks for the help!
