I'm still thinking late 1965 or early 1966 with the chainguard/forks/brakes/tank or some parts could even have been replaced. Usually the tag on the wiring harness is the year as mentioned. JMHO Loudmouse? Anyone? I'm not the Guru for sure.

Original tire sizes for CL77

Post by Gregg Wellner » Tue Aug 14, 2012 5:57 am

What size tires are you guys putting on CL77s. Found Heidenau german tires with orig sizes, 300-19fr and 350-19 rear say classic patterns with modern technology. They look good and I can get them right here in Wisconsin. Prices seem in line.

I do believe those are the correct sizes. If you like the price, then I love it!. Go for it.

CL77 tires link for Heidenau german tires

Post by Gregg Wellner » Tue Aug 14, 2012 8:23 pm

Find them at scramblercycle.com or go to heidenautires.com to find a dealer near to you. The ones I'm looking to buy are listed by size and style. I searched for a couple hours for original type AND size. My bike has the original dunlop universal front 300-19 but a replacement dunlop K70 in the incorrect 400-19 size. 350-19s seem hard to find.....and the 400-19 looks bulbus. (is that a word?) Prices of the Heidenau are approximate to dunlop and continental.
