Thinking about this Honda Dream

Post by koolaid117 » Wed Aug 01, 2012 5:55 pm

I was checking out the local craigslist and I came upon this ad:

Honda Dream 305 $800

white Honda dream 305, in VGC condition...has original saddlebags, (fiberglass), light bar, gas tank is excellent, there is no rust, not even on the rims, has the chrome
bumpers on the fenders....no title.....motor turns over freely,
has not been started in years, this bike is excellent to restore.
no title and no keys, got this in a moving and divorce settlement....if interested call cell 614 five-one-nine-1169...
this bike is very nice for a bike of this age, only getting rid of this for a paint job on another car project, was going to restore this bike but car project is far more important.
....email must say Honda 305 in subject line for a response...

No pics attached, so I emailed him and asked for some pics and this is what he sent
Image
and this one
Image

The bike looks clean from what I can see in the pics. Does anyone see any glaring issues?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have not seen the bike and I have not asked the wife about spending the money. So, all this might be moot anyhow.

I have liked the looks of the Dream since I first saw one a couple of years ago. Just not really ever been in a position to buy one.

I'm surprised I missed that one. That looks like a nice bike depending on how hard it is to get a title in Ohio.

Check that before even considering it. Odds are that if it kicks over with compression it will start with a little work.

Ran the bike by my wife and while she liked it, we have too many things coming up. She's gotta have new tires for her truck and that is going to eat up any extra income, so me purchasing that Dream (unless I win the Powerball or something).
