Just a heads up here. I've got a 63' CB77 that has a 64' CA77 motor in it. Now, my plans are to convert it to a CB77 motor. That would leave a crankshaft, head and a carburetor for a CA77 that, if in good enough shape, will be sold. The motor looks okay on the outside. Have no clue about the internals. It does have a CB right side engine cover with the forward kick starter (this would not go with the motor, if I sell the motor. I have to decide if I want to sell the motor or convert it. I'll try to take some pictures of it and get them posted ASAP. I'll also keep you all updated on this and let you know my final decision ASAP. That's all for now.
Later on, Bill

Well, I've been working on a deal for a CB77 motor to replace the CA motor in my bike and I'm waiting for the seller to get some things taken care of for himself and then I'm hoping to finalize the deal for that motor. In the meantime, I've also managed to come up with a very nice CB77 crankshaft, a CL77 head (that I could use a Cb77 cam for. I already have gotten a tach drive for it) and also a nice set of low handlebars for the CB77. That's about it for now. I need to sit down and make an actual list of what I'm gonna need and work on getting those parts.

Hey there Jason, smithenhiven wrote:Bill, if the deal on the other CB77 engine doesn't go through, I have a complete 65 CB77 Engine that I'd be willing to part with. If interested, we can discuss a price.
Jason.
I do appreciate your offer. I would like to have a back up plan, just in case things don't go the way I'm hoping. I'm not expecting any problems but, when you've waited as long as I have, to start getting some parts for this bike that I can somewhat afford, you tend to get a bit nervous. The motor that I'm dealing on, should be a good deal. I'll be talking to you Jason. Hopefully, the seller of the 1st motor will be contacting before long. He's had a few things to deal with first, that are quite involved and that's no problem.

Well, it looks like I'm gonna keep that CA motor and convert it for another project, cause I feel like that I'm going to be able to get 1 of 2 CB motors that I want to put in my CB77. So, as soon as I can get the CA77 motor torn down, I hope to have a CA crankshaft, head and carb to sell or trade.
