CB160 choke lever questionCB160 choke lever questionWell, I've started sprucing up the CB160 I picked up last fall. As I was pulling the carbs, I noticed that the vertical lever that on the left carb and which attaches via the link to the right carb choke lever, is bent at the pivot point towards the rear. It does not look right, but the bend is so perfect, I thought I'd ask before I try to straighten it.
So, does the left vertical lever have a bend that makes it lean to the rear or should it be vertical like the right on and pretty much in line and identical in position to the right choke lever? Thanks, Rob Rob
This is my CB160 motor and carbs as I shipped it back from the US. I don't think there is a bend in the Right Hand choke lever. It has to line up with the left one which is straight. Cheers G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72

Two bent the same? How close is it to this one? I have no idea if it is an original bend, but like you stated, It sure heck looks like it.
64' CB77
65' CB160 Guys,
Thanks very much. I'm pretty sure that the top lever should be straight and not bent. All the pics provided have it straight up, not bent to the rear. The operating lever on mine is also dead straight, so I'd say that those that are bent either forward or aft are not as they left the factory. I could see those getting bent easily since they are in a better position to be snagged. I'm going to straighten mine based on this. Thanks and regards, Rob
