Really, I just don't understand it!

I have a CL77.....The question is, what year is it really? The wiring harness says 1966, so I assumed it was a 1966 until I recieved the title. The title says the bike was first sold in 1965...the frame number is CL77-1039432, which I believe is a 1966. Maybe the title over the years has been somehow altered?

I know this has been brought up and discussed many times on the forum, but I am confused.

I think ya will find it was issued in LATE 65.
There is now actual data (actual numbers/what month/year) what date these bikes were issued after the 64 numbers.
I see the 2013 cars are already out. .................lm

Just couldn't figure out why the wiring tag would say 1966 if the bike was made and sold in 65. I did think of the late/early year production issue, but still thought something was amiss.

A good question about the tag could be- "Was it the year it was made or the year of the bike it was for". ..............lm

Sounds right to me. My conclusion......The wiring harness was made for a 1966...The bike is a 1966.....Early production 1966 model, first sold in 1965. Makes perfect logic to me.
