CL77 update

Post by PrisonCityMatt » Sun Jun 03, 2012 3:15 pm

I avoided purchasing new valves. I spent around 8 hours removing all that built up carbon with gun bore solvent and many softer scotchbright pad. Seated the stems. I brought it all to my local repair shop and the guy told me I did a good job and could tell I took my time on it.

I was going to order the Bill Silver manual. I dont have PayPal and dont support PayPal on account of them screwing me over enough times and responding unprofessionally. I also checked his site and he was on vacation when I needed to order it. So I found a Clymers Japanese Vintage Street Bikes manual.

My first step is to replace the pistons. I had the cylinders bored to fit an oversized piston. When I bought the pistons a year ago I thought the wrist pins would come with them. Now Im at my rebuild point and now I realize I dont have new ones. Do I need new wrist pins and if I do, do I need oversized wrist pins?
