Help Tweaking Idle Speed

Post by newhondaowner » Wed May 23, 2012 5:00 pm

Newbie question.....I just aquired a 66 CB77 in pretty nice shape. It runs well but the idle speed is just a bit slow. I have to give it a bit of throttle to start and it tends to die after several seconds if I let it idle. I am new to these bikes and was hoping someone can point me to a pic or sketch of the carb clarifying which screws are the idle screws? Thanks for any help!

No secrets...

I'm in Indiana. So...can someone please toss me a bone and give me a clue as to which screw on my carbs control the idle before I start guessing and fouling things up? Seriously, I'd very much appreciate any help. Any link with a pic or diagram showing info would be great.

The one toward the front of the bike is the mixture screw and the one to the rear controls idle speed (or so I've been led to believe).
