cam chain roller

Post by Atlas » Sun May 06, 2012 6:04 pm

I pulled the cam chain tensioner/roller from my 63ca77 dream and switched it out with a cb77 superhawk tensioner/roller. The superhawk engine is a parts engine and the roller looked very nice so i installed it in my ca77dream but my concern is the superhawk roller was larger than the dreams and moved the tension rod out over an 1/8inch. Does it make any difference? Is it ok to use? I can't see where it should since both are 305's but mabe i'm wrong. Perhaps Motormouse has an answer. Atlas

HONDA did issue 2 size wheels.
I've found both with no rime or reason. .....lm

Ya welcome.
Only after working on many of these engines have I learned what I know today.
A famous person once said "Everything I know I read in the newspaper".
Here I am with dirty oily hands!
