Brake lever is pushing brake light actuator

Post by rappaj17 » Sat May 05, 2012 11:48 pm

The brake light is on when the brake lever is disengaged and turns off when the brake lever is engaged. The brake light switch linkage is pushing the actuator rather than pulling it. It looks completely stock and untampered with. I'm confused.

Your brake shaft (through the frame) is at the wrong angle or the arm that operates the brake light is bent / missing. It should look like this......

Thanks. I see the difference in my first picture. I wonder why that arm that attaches to the spring is so short on mine. I'll take another look, but it really does look original from the picture.
