Hi Quinn

What size are your bores at the moment and what condition are they in? The engine shop I use in the UK charges around the equivalent of $40 to bore two sleeves. Pistons come up on eBay from time to time.

Some of those are ridiculously expensive, but if you are patient you can get a pair for sensible money.

I just had a whole batch bored and skimmed by my local guys (less than 15 miles from my house). They do a lot of race engines and do a really nice job. They have reclaimed a number of 'problem' cylinders for me over the years.

the bores are standard right now but the pistons seem to have more movement in the sleeve then i think they should, the bike has 17k miles on it so im thinking they are warn and i should probably just bore it and get new pistons so i don't run into more problems done the road

After 17k they will be in need of attention. Get them measured by a machine shop to make sure that they will clean up at +0.25 otherwise you will have to go a size higher.

An odd pair on eBay at the moment....
