headers not seating correctly

headers not seating correctly

what am i doing wrong? this is as far as the headers will seat against the head, i have the correct collars, but this is as far as they will go.

That's how they should be.
Measure the collars and ya will see they are longer than the depth of the hole. ...........lm

Alright thanks lm, I could have sworn that every other super hawk I've seen has had their headers flush up against the head. Good to know mine are in the right place.

Yeah but you have more than one gasket in each hole. The copper rings that seal the pipe to the head. Looks like you have 2 or more in each hole
