correct CB77 clutch cable

Post by hillhudson » Wed Mar 14, 2012 11:46 pm

I recently bought this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-CB72-Hawk ... _500wt_873

clutch cable, its way too short, either that or i'm threading it wrong though my bike. can anyone tell me what cable will work great for short bars? or what the propper way to thread the clutch cable through the cb77 is ? i have Cafe' bars on mine so short should work.

thanks

I got mine from RetroBikes in WA. Very good people to deal with.

I seem to remember having that same problem. The cable is only just long enough if it's routed correctly. Those bars of yours - Are they wider than stock or slightly further forward than stock bars by any chance?

hey thanks guys!

i'll look into retro bikes,

my bars are club-men so their about as low as if i had clip-ons but that new cable i bought wont fit still, very odd.
