chrome fenders

Post by ponyboy » Wed Mar 14, 2012 8:46 pm

I just picked up my rebuilt but not restored superhawk
I also got a parts bike
The fenders for the parts bike are chrome
The previous owner
also painted the the Chrome fenders on the bike he sold me
I am still trying to figure out what year it is.He said it was a 1969
I thought The fenders were all silver like the Steve M. bike
sorry if this is a question already talked about
I havent read every topic posted yet

Welcome to the forum. Late models had chrome plated steel fenders. Last CB77s were built in 1967 but yours may have been titled later.

If you look at the wiring harness underneath the fuel tank there is a date stamp on a white tag. It indicates the date of manufacture of the harness but that should (if original) be the year the bike was made.
