Early vs. Late spedo on CB77

Post by Jlovvorn » Sun Mar 04, 2012 4:42 pm

Swapped a late spedo into my 64. The new one has the needles moving the same direction, the old one in opposite directions.

The tach on the new one works, the spedo does not.

Are the later ones compatible, or does the shaft spin the wrong way or something?

Trying to determine if the spedo id defective or just incompatible.

Ya must match the drive unit with the issue of speedo.
Your speedo is running backwards now. ............lm

Anyone know what year they changed over?

Looking for a new drive, but don't want to screw up the same issue twice.
