Early '65 CL77 Frame Number?

Post by Rigel » Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:48 pm

Hello Everyone,

I just picked up a basket case CL77 for a restoration project and was told the bike was a '66. Pretty sure it is a '65 since the frame is CL77-1000602 and the engine is CL77E-1000499. I can't find any production info on CL77s and am assuming that Honda started the frame numbers at CL77-1000001. Anybody know how many CL77s were built in '65?

Regardless, I'm looking forward to getting this project going.

Thanks

Number indicate a 65. It should have steel sliders on the forks, and use an 8 hole fender. Front seat mount should be the fork type.
