advancer weight springs ?

Post by danielmoto » Sun Jan 08, 2012 4:28 pm

Just noticed mine look a bit tired and just wondered if anyone knows if you can get them still or any that will do the job, cb72 250 1965. Doing a parts list at the moment,
1) Pistons 0.5 x2
2) Piston rings
3) Gudgeon pins
4) Circlips
5) Top end gasket set
6) Spark plugs
7) 4 Tappet covers ( There chewed and look ugly)
8) Fuel Tap filter and service kit
9) Cam chain with a split link if possible as i hate the rivet ones. (Engine was solid so split link was at the bottom and unreachable.
10) New valve springs and collets
11) All vent hoses, fuel pipe etc.
12) Valves if mine are not servicable.
13) Throttle cable, twin cable ok
14) Some flowers and chocolates for my wife and son

Anyone think of anything else that i should put on my list as a possible may need, camshafts ok, all bearings are ok, dave silver should be the best place for most bits any tips on anything before i start looking for suitable suppliers will be appriciated im based in good old blighty cheers danielmoto.
Any cure for the classic bug, as ive got it bad.

I was able to get some for my Honda Dream on ebay or check Western Hills Honda they should have more than half your list there. Be ready with part numbers. They help alot in finding the right stuff faster.
