2 different looking primary chains?

Good thing I didn't drive it like a madman! Yes, the link are way thinner too. I never realized there was anything weird about it until I got the newer chain.

Check the diameter of the rollers also as these may not be the right size as the o/e.

k, here's the 2 chains.....I could see on the small chain, it was stamped "Germany". Someone has made the chain from something else....crazy! On one side the links have all been ground by a grinder, and the pins stick out farther on that side, like there was another part to the chain. (maybe a double chain, and somebody got rid of half of it)
Anyway, I guess it doesn't really matter, these chains are hard to find and someone improvised. The rollers are the same diameter. But the rollers on the old chain are split in half. Somebody went to a lot of work I'd say.
