Yup, just looked it up in Silver's guide. Tail light bracket too, according to Bill. You agree?

I have 6 CB77 bikes and all have silver tail light brackets.
Never repainted just thin silver like the fender gets after all these years.
Imagine a red bike with a Black one.
That said the White DREAM did come with black.
I have seen black CB72 pics with black and I'm not an expert on the European Export issues but any I've seen pics of had black.
Do keep in mind that all of the CL72/77 bikes did have color match TL brackets and center stands. ....................lm

I would recommend powdercoat as it will resist solvent (ie: gasoline). Not sure if you can get the correct color in a powdercoat though. All my bikes are black so it was an easy choice for me. I'm surprised the centerstand isn't the same color as the frame. Are you sure that's correct?

The black would certainly make things easier. Has anyone used a red powdercoat that can be recommended for a good match?

Finally, after 2 years I am back on this project! I have had the frame powdercoated Bloody Mary Red and painted the fuel tank and other red parts to match. Chrome is sent out for plating. I have most of the parts assembled on the frame, wiring, steering neck etc.
I decided to pull the top end apart and glad I did. The left piston is very tight on the wrist pin and the rings are stuck. The rods have no up or down play but they can have a slight play when wiggled sideways. Is this normal or am I in for a crank rebuild?
