They don't like all the round tubes and the fact there are so many areas they cant sand/polish. .............lm

The company didn't say they wouldn't do it but I thought the cost was high. I just got another quote from another company and they said $150-$225 for tripple plated chroming which I think sounds about right so It's off to them. They also said not to sandblast the parts. Makes it harder to do. Should be a month before I get it back. Paul

Wow Bill that's a good price. I live on an island with no chromers so everything I do has to be sent out but I love the place and wouldn't move out of here for the world but I sure wish we had a replating company here! Look forward to seeing your rack. Paul

Well I've been over on the GoldWing site for the last little while. Lots of people posting over there. I guess there's more wings than Dreams. I figured this site would be the liveliest in the winter months seeing most of us can't ride this time of the year.

Anyway I'm still waiting on some new stuff to arrive for the Dream including the stuff from the re-platers. I've been having a bit of fun accessorizing the mannequin standing by the Dream. He now has a Honda watch to show off. One of the folks that seen him said the only thing he needs now is a few internal body organs and he's ready to ride, I also hung up my Dream ads that I framed a while ago to add to the viewing experience. I thought I'd attach a few more pics to show you all how it looks.

Feel free to post any comments Good or Bad!!!!!!

Paul you haven't "just" restored a bike, you have created a museum exhibit! What you need to do now is create a web site devoted to the bike, the restoration process and its current home.

My friend you truly scare me. You must have some kind of ESP because I'm working on a web site and have been for the last three weeks. It's a slow process because I'm having my best friend do it and he's a web designer so he should be able to do a nice job with it. The site will feature the Dream with pictures not placed on this site and much more of the collection I have here with before and after pictures of each piece I've restored and it will show how it was all done. I've already purchased my domain name so It's in the works.

I'm also considering purchasing another Dream. If I decide to get it I'll go 80% custom on it leaving only the frame, wheels and motor original so that should be interesting if It goes ahead.

I noticed on your web page about the USS Indianapolis. Very interesting for sure. My son is in the Canadian Navy so anything Navy related is very interesting to me. Have a great day and thanks for the post and suggestion. Paul
