returning to idle

Post by ccscrambler » Sun Oct 23, 2011 6:45 pm

I have a 1968 Honda CL77 with the following problem - when revving the motor with the bike out of gear and at rest, the return to idle speed is very slow - sometimes 10 to 15 seconds -
any good solution for this?
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

Check and lube if necessary:

Twistgrip
Throttle cable (check for kinks or fraying inner, does the cable have slack at idle?)
Carburetor slides (make sure the springs are returning the slides to the stops)

One carb slide is a bit higher than the other.
Check your adjustment. ........lm
