Will this headlight work on my bike?

Post by steven0356 » Tue Jan 16, 2007 3:02 pm

I just found this on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-CA ... dZViewItem

Is this a headlight I can use on my 1965 CA77 305 Honda Dream? It looks like the one in my bike except it appears to have a removable bulb?

If the answer is yes what bulb fits this assumably

Thanks

Steve

I used the H4 bulb in this housing.

Thanks again

You can do that also by busting out the old bulb and using the H4 bulb.I was told this after I already bought the other housing.I never tried it though.

I just went ahead and bought the new housing. It just seemed easier that way.

Thanks

I had seen on another one of your post you had asked about the bulb on Ebay and someone said it would not work.I was looking at it and I think it may.You may have to find a socket to fit it or just solder your high, low and ground to it to make it work.I may buy one myself just to try it.I almost bought one last year to give it a try.The H4 bulb is higher wattage and will run the battery down due to the low charging current from my experience if the light is on for some time. Here in Pa. I do not need to run the light on this old of a bike in daylight.
