Memories of the 250s and 305s

Post by DeeJay » Tue Sep 06, 2011 4:37 pm

I just discovered this forum and it looks like a good place to exchange information. I started working for a Honda dealership in 63 and my buddies and me owned Hawks and Scramblers. We did quite a bit of modifying and did some racing. I had a Hawk with a Webco 350 kit that would really get with the program and a Scrambler with the same kit. We did a lot of expirementing with things like jetting, timing, gearing, tires etc. The Hawk would run 90+ in the quarter mile and around 120 flat out, depending on the set up.I just bought a 67 Scrambler and got it running, haven't ridden one in over 40 yrs.

Welcome to the forum.
Our motorcycling backgrounds are very similar though it sounds like you were a better wrench than me!
Great resource here (though the search function is clunky at best), some of these guys really know their stuff.
