If you have no problem with the fender, $400 is a great price. I would have to pay 4 x that price in UK to get something in that condition. Definitely not a show-stopper.
If you wanted to restore the fender in the future you could get that section from a parts bike and have it welded on.

CL160 or CA77 Restoration
Ok, here's a new question. I just spoke with the guy and he seems genuine. I plan on going to pick it up tomorrow, but what questions should I ask? I've never pursued an older restoration project like this so all my standard questions don't really apply (seat in good shape, does it run, tires, etc.).
What issues would you say are dealbreakers? I am terribly excited about all of this, but I want to lean on the expertise of others to keep me from doing something stupid.
Ok, so apparently the guy took those pictures a long time ago. The project was a bit overwhelming for me being a first time restorer.
I did go look at the CA160 today and it seemed to be in such a condition where I did not feel overwhelmed with the "task at hand". If he'll go a little lower on his price I might be able to take it from him. Any thoughts from the forum on the CA160?

I'm having a buddy do some sealing work on my tank (welding...) but tonight I'm picking up a battery to see if I can get it to start. Might take some points adjustment, but I have new plugs so hopefully everything else is A-okay. It's not in perfect condition, but pretty darn nice:)
