I know this isn't related to the rebuild of the Dream but I figured someone would find it interesting. Someone who frequents this board and have been watching my posts sent me these patches from the 60's to put on the mannequin which was very nice of him. Paul

Hi everyone. Well today is my birthday. Yep another year older for me. Anyway my great wife had this custom birthday cake made for me and I thought it was so good I wanted to put it on here for everyone to see. Wow they did a great job on it! Paul

Received my rear rack this week. Only for this great web site I wouldn't have found one and also thanks to Dogsbd. Had planned on getting some things done with it before I sent it out for replating but it got busy here at work so I'll do it over the weekend. Seeing I have to send it out for replating I may as well get the side stand done and a few other items I didn't get done before. I'll keep you all posted on the outcome. Thanks again Cecil. Much appreciated.

I think I may be as anxious to see it on your bike as you are to have it on it!!

Well yesterday I emailed a picture of the rack and four shock nuts to the replaters to get some idea of the cost before sending the rack out to them. I had to do it this way because there in another province.
ImageI got my quote of $350. plus shipping.

Holy cow that seems like allot for a small item.
I guess I'll be checking somewhere else. Sure wouldn't want to get all the parts on a car replated! Paul

I took a similar rack (for the same bike as yours) and they wouldn't chrome it.
They don't like all the round tubes and the fact there are so many areas they cant sand/polish. .............lm
