Rear brake cable conundrum
Rear brake cable conundrumHaving a little trouble getting the rear brake cable dialed-in on my 67 CB77. It's doesn't actuate the brake properly.
The cable is brand new, lubed properly, and I believe routed the right way (although the route looks hokey with it's "S" shape). Shoes are older but with ample meat. Entire assembly was torn down, cleaned, and lubed. With the cable routed outside the bike, it works well. When I route it in front of the rear fender resting on the curved bracket, it binds and the brake doesn't retract smoothly (I can retract it by hand). I'm concerned that while riding it will cause premature wear. Thoughts? Dana

Two questions:
1. Where'd you get the cable from? 2. How tight is that clamp on the fender biting down? Current restoration: 1962 CB77
