front suspension arm re-chromingfront suspension arm re-chromingi want to re-chrome the front suspension arm but not sure how to remove the bushings?
> also handlebars it seems its a major undertaking to find a straight re-chromable bar. i've been looking for a 7/8" replacement and found several bars that fit that description but just need some clarification; > throttle slot, winker & wire holes can be made to fit and drilled via a machine shop, ok here knurls on bottom of bars? does or don t need them? higher rise bars need longer cables can these be custom made to fit? > just trying to re-chrome & assemble parts before repainting the bike tks guys The fibre bush is very fragile so you cannot just press it out as it will collapse. My tool is a close fit on the inside of the bush and supports it as it is being pulled out. A bronze bush would be a better replacement. If you get some made then you won't have to worry about damaging the original.
I'm going to make my own bushes when I put mine back together. G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72
